Christiana Lysistrata
MSP is proud to present the world premiere of Christiana Lysistrata By Vinecia Coleman
Life in the Middle Ages isn’t so different from today. Christiana Lysistrata is a somewhat modern twist on the Greek comedy, Lysistrata. Christiana defies societal norms by daring to read the Bible as a woman, and even worse, without a priest to tell her what it all means. Fed up with the violence of the crusades and the witch hunts of “heretics” she bands together with the women in her town to end the violence by using their wits and their womanly wiles to entice the men into peace. Watch the comedy unfold as we see how these women stand up for their cause and claim their power in a male-driven world.
